Liz + Ken two had the sweetest summery engagement session at Fox Run Park in Colorado Springs earlier this month; I had so much fun hanging with them! I can’t wait for their wedding at the end of the summer at Cielo at Castle Pines, I just know it’s going to be a beautiful ceremony (with lots of happy tears!). We had to wait quite some time to be able to do their engagement session due to Ken’s military service, but, I’m so glad we had the opportunity to hang out before the wedding!

These two actually met in high school nearly nine years ago, and have been together off and on ever since. Together, they have gone through a lot in their relationship – high school graduation, college, Ken joining the Army, and most recently, yet another deployment. Seeing them together, I’m honestly surprised they aren’t already married – they remind me so much of Randy + me,  just like two pieces of a puzzle that fit together absolutely perfectly.

Liz actually told me that she knew Ken was the One for her from the very beginning (she even had him listed as “future husband” in her cell phone!). Ken proposed on New Years, when they were throwing a huge party (it was a dual New Years and welcome home party for Ken, who had recently returned home from deployment). He proposed in front of all their friends and family, and they’ve been planning their dream wedding ever since!

We spent the morning at Fox Run Park in north Colorado Springs, walking around the grounds, stopping to pet two of the cutest puppies ever, talking all about their relationship and their upcoming wedding. We laughed, we cried (yep, even me a little bit, watching them pray for their marriage) and we laughed some more. Randy + I are counting down the days to their wedding!
