I absolutely love Instagram. Over the last couple of years (and really even moreso the last few months), it’s really leaped forward into this awesome platform for documenting our lives through photos both in real-time (hello, InstaStories!) and for the long-run. I love scrolling through my feed every day, looking at beautiful photos and seeing snapshots of what’s going on in people’s lives and being inspired by some of my favorite photographers and artists.
But. But.
I also love seeing random funny, celebrity, dog and inspirational stuff in my feed … and every day, these are the ones I most look forward to seeing pop up on Instagram! None of these have anything to do with weddings, but, I love them any way – each for their own special purpose!

I love this feed because it’s the best source of memes on Instagram, and some of them are pretty damn funny. Inappropriate, but funny.
Topher Brophy
This guy dresses his dog up and does magical photo shoots in full matching costumes. If you’re a dog person, you’ll love this one! Plus, is it just me, or does he look kind of like that Scott guy from that Kardashian show?
Celeste Barber
Celeste reminds me not to take life too seriously and that celebrities aren’t real life.

Humans of New York
I first came across Humans of New York (“HONY”) on Facebook a couple years ago, but since Facebook sucks at life and I never see anything on there anymore (ugggh) – I love following Brandon’s adventures telling the stories of people all over not just New York, but the world. As a photographer, I have been really inspired by his use of combining story-telling with street photography, and it’s influenced some of my own work in its own way. This feed is enlightening and beautiful, wonderful and sad, humorous and real.
