Earlier this summer we got to spend one of the warmest afternoons of the summer at Eddie and Stephanie’s Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding in Colorado Springs! We had been looking forward to this wedding for so long – ever since we hung out with them for their Chicago engagement session! These two got married on the deck right outside in the early afternoon, and the views of Cheyenne Mountain were absolutely incredible!
There were quite a few things that we absolutely loved about this wedding, right from the get-go. Eddie kicked off the day with a romantic surprise by writing a love note on the bottom of Stephanie’s new heels, which everyone loved (there were so many “awww’s” in the bridal room when she finally saw them! We loved all of their DIY rustic decor too, but really – our favorite detail was the welcome table to the reception. It was filled with vintage photos of their parents and grandparents, and even the telegram love notes between them! It was such a great personalized touch to their wedding, which really was super focused on their family.
We are so glad that Eddie and Stephanie chose to head to Colorado for their destination wedding, and moreso that we got to be part of it. We not only adore the two of them, but their families as well (yes, even those crazy Kipp sisters! 😝).
