Oh my goodness. Let me tell you about Andrea (AKA “AJ”, which is how I was introduced to her through a couple mutual friends and it’s stuck). AJ is a fabulous photographer from up in Denver that I have had the pleasure of mentoring the last 18 months or so. She has grown by leaps and bounds, and I feel like a momma bear all proud of my cub. Seriously – she’s going places! And not only that, she’s funny and kind and sort of awesome. She has these two beautiful daughters – 10-year-old Amaya who acts all shy but you can tell she’s got a fire inside, and 5-year-old Lilia who is just a mile-a-minute riot. And Dan,  AJ’s boyfriend? What a stud. I just loved him! They are so adorable together, I can’t wait to watch their love story unfold!

AJ asked me to capture her family session, so they drove all the way down from Denver for this family session at Rock Ledge Ranch. I got really excited to play with my newest lens (Tamron 70-200 f/2.8) – something only another photographer could appreciate, haha! 🙂 Enjoy!
