Days 13-14 | Road Tour 2014 | Savannah and Fayetteville
One of my favorite places in America is Tybee Island, Georgia. The first time I visited was last year when I was in Savannah for a working weekend, and I fell in love with this little slice of Southern Heaven. I knew that we just HAD to take the kids there when we were on our road tour and I’m so glad that we did on Day 13. It was absolutely gorgeous outside that evening – we were threatened with some thunderheads, but they skirted around us and made for an amazing afternoon at the beach. We got to splash around for a while … until I saw the jellyfish. And ginormous man-eating horseshoe crabs (no, they don’t actually eat men but those suckers are creepy looking!) … And then a guy on the beach caught a sand shark and our time in the water was over, haha. Luckily, that was about the time I went to do the Bradley family’s session, so it was perfect timing! 😉
Day 14 we headed up to Fayetteville, North Carolina to see my dearest friend, Stella, and her family for their pre-deployment session. Stella made us the most bomb diggitty fajitas and margarita cupcakes I think I’ve ever tasted, and then we headed off to a local farm for their session. I was really bummed to leave Stella’s house – she is one of those people in the world that you can just BE with. I loves me some Stella!
