Denver Mormon Wedding
November 6, 2017
You know what makes me happy? When the focus of a wedding is on the true purpose: two people coming together to celebrate their love, make a commitment and party with their closest friends and family. And this Denver Mormon wedding? A perfect example of exactly this kind of wedding! Eldon and Tasha’s wedding was so much fun, and we loved everything about it. And ever since their engagement session at Garden of the Gods earlier this summer, we looked forward to spending their day with them!
Their wedding ceremony took place at the Denver LDS Temple, because in the Mormon faith “the temple is a religious place for approaching God with promises.” Because we are not members of their church and the Mormon church has very strict photography rules inside the temple, we did not attend or photograph their ceremony. But! We did get to spend the rest of the day with them, celebrating with their friends and family inside the church’s gymnasium! The food from Ria’s Indian Eats was absolutely delicious (seriously, gimme all the Indian food at weddings!) and they had a delicious s’more bar for dessert! On top of that, every single table had their own personal cake (tastiest center pieces EVER!).
There was also a lot of DIY aspects to their wedding, including the beautiful table runners! Tasha’s mom spent months hand sewing the intricate details, and they turned out so amazing!! She also helped Tasha and the bridesmaids with putting together all of their bouquets made of flowers from Costco, and she did Tasha’s hair! Tasha’s sisters (as well as Tasha’s sister’s boyfriend) performed, too – and it was AMAZING! Everything came together beautifully, for sure.
While most of this wedding was entirely DIY, we’d love to send a special thanks to the amazing, rad creative team that came together to make this wedding so much fun!
