One of my favorite places in Colorado Springs is Garden of the Gods, which lies right up against the mountains. It’s such an iconic part of our city, and I love when couples request to do their engagement photos at Garden of the Gods. These two drove all the way down from Denver just to hang out for an afternoon in Colorado Springs, and we had so much fun! These two are actually from San Diego out in California, so we had a lot to talk about (including our shared love of In N Out and how much we miss it here in Colorado … and debating whether Freddy’s Steakburgers was a good substitution, haha!). They just moved out here for an awesome job opportunity, and we are so lucky to have them out here!

Just spending a bit of time around these two, and you can tell that Laura feels like the luckiest girl in the world to have Dustin by her side. Dustin’s parents joined us for most of the shoot (to help wrangle Cali, their rescue baby that just came home a few months ago!), and they couldn’t stop gushing about how excited they are to be welcoming Laura into their family. These two are absolutely perfect for each other, and I’m so excited to have been able to do their engagement photos at Garden of the Gods! I even got Laura to climb up some of the awesome Red Rocks at High Point, which might be one of my new favorite shooting locations! She wasn’t much of a climber, but we’ll make a Colorado girl out of her yet! 😉

Dustin and Laura are getting married in just a few months in Hawaii, which I just know is going to be absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see the incredible photos from their destination wedding next summer!
