It is always so fun and exciting to have the opportunity to photograph couples in new locations – especially when those locations are close to home AND give us some amazing alternative views of beloved locations! A few weeks ago, Ashley got to meet up with Alex and Laura for their engagement session at Mesa Overlook in Colorado Springs, which gives an incredible view of Garden of the Gods off in the distance! It was fortuitous timing too, because these two ended up moving out of state just a few days after their session!
They both work in the medical field for the military – Alex for the Army and Laura for the Air Force. He charmed her with his southern drawl and dimply smile and she wowed him with her incredible sense of humor and wit. They just got engaged right before they moved, and they’re now planning their wedding next year on the east coast! And of course when it came time to do ring photos, we had to include Alex’s class ring, too! 😉
Halfway through their session we headed over into the actual Garden of the Gods park itself, and enjoyed the last bit of summer color in the foliage. This was riiiight before “fall” hit here in Colorado Springs … we use quotations simply because we’d hardly call fall an entire season here (it’s honestly more like a glorious 3 weeks, haha!).
Anyway, we’re super excited for these two to get hitched – we are sure they will make the most beautiful bride and handsome groom! Enjoy some of our favorites from their engagement session at Mesa Overlook and Garden of the Gods!!
