There might be nothing more sweet to me than high school sweethearts. Maybe because Randy and I are just-out-of-high-school sweethearts, I don’t know? But whatever the reason, it just makes me freaking happy and full of joy to see couples who have literally grown up together and still choose and fight to be together after so many years together. So knowing this, you can imagine how awesome it was for me to hang out with Harry and Alex for their engagement session at White River County Park!

Alex told me about how Harry proposed, and it’s one of the most romantic stories I’ve ever heard. In her own words: “We had plans for dinner with our friends at their new apartment. We were mid-Uber on our way there, and they texted us saying they were stuck in traffic and would be really late. Harry suggested we stop by my parents house while we waited (which I was not too keen on, and the poor guy had to do some convincing…). Little did I know that the whole thing was a set up; when we got to my parents house, we went into the back yard — it was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles, one of my fave songs by Maggie Rogers was playing, and our families were there with silly smiles on their faces… that’s when it clicked and the water works started. Harry got down on one knee, I of course said YES, everyone cheered and we popped the champagne! We got to celebrate with our family and our friends – it was so romantic and special!”
