In all our lives growing up in the desert, we never had really been to the La Quinta Cove before; it is this little hidden gem in the heart of the Coachella Valley. At the very tippy top of the La Quinta Cove, past all the houses, is this beautiful open desert region. This open area is filled with beautiful hiking trails, an oasis, and earlier this month all of the desert foliage was pretty and green from the super bloom that has taken over California’s ecosystem. It also made a perfect romantic backdrop for Kevin and Cassi’s Great Gatsby themed maternity photos!
When Cassi first emailed us about capturing some maternity photos for her and Kevin, it was like destiny. We were already going to be in town for a wedding, and when she said they were already going to be dressed up for the day we got super excited. Why? Because Cassi’s work was throwing a Great Gatsby themed party at the La Quinta Resort! Then when they showed up and got out of their car, the breeze was lightly blowing, and it was just like a movie scene! Immediately we were both just blown away at just how amazing these two looked; Cassi’s red gown from Rent the Runway flowed perfectly in the breeze and her hair and makeup was just so perfect with the Great Gatsby theme! And Kevin’s maroon tuxedo completed their combined look with amazing style. Talk about #stylegoals!!
Their little girl is due in just a few more weeks, and we know these two are going to just be amazing parents. Kevin just adores his wife, and she couldn’t stop smiling the whole time we were photographing them. They’re both so excited to meet her, and she’ll be here before we know it! Congratulations, guys!!
