It’s hard to believe it’s only been a few short weeks since Zack and Sarah’s intimate Coast Guard wedding. It almost feels like it was a lifetime ago given how much has happened since then! But today? I’m going to celebrate their wedding film release! We are really just diving into the world of videography and intimate wedding films; we have done a handful of videos over the last couple of years (this is like our 5th or 6th ever). So, when Zack and Sara included us in their wedding plans, it was a huge blessing to us and a great learning experience.
Zack & Sara’s Love Story
Zack and Sara went to high school together, yet it wasn’t until after they graduated and Zack went off to start his military career that they started dating. Sara told me that “there are too many ‘moments’ to count that led up to me knowing that he is the one. Every moment, laugh, kiss, argument made us stronger and closer. That’s how I knew!” and I freaking LOVE THAT. It’s so true, because there are some many little moments that leads up to that kind of realization.
When it came time for Zack to propose, he went all out. Zack dropped a pin location right before Sara got off of work and asked her to meet him there. Turned out to ve an abandoned gazebo on the water with no one around! Zack had their pictures everywhere and their German Shepherd, Rollo, dressed in a tux. Rollo had a sign around his neck that said “will you marry my daddy?” … How freaking adorable is that?!
Intimate Coast Guard Wedding
Their outdoor wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful, The Bluff has this incredible view of the winding St Mary’s River and it was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony! And that’s exactly why Sara really wanted to get married at The Bluff; she told me how breathtaking it was and that it made her feel “very warm and close to God and my husband and family.”
All of the details were DIY, from the cake to the florals, and Sara’s mom did most of them herself. Didn’t she do an incredible job!?
Randy and I had a great time shooting with Calli Kennedy (check out the photos from this wedding!), and she is who I’ll be referring my local families to once we move home to Colorado in a couple of weeks!
