Cody and Mallorie’s intimate family cabin wedding earlier this month was so beautiful! I’ve looked forward to their wedding ever since their engagement session this past spring here in Colorado Springs! Their wedding took place at Mallorie’s family cabin, which was built by her great-grandpa, grandpa and some other family members about 40 years ago. This cabin, which they call Mariwood, has been the gathering site for their family over the years for reunions, weddings, honeymoons and vacations. When Mallorie’s great-grandpa died 10 years ago, Mariwood didn’t get visited at whole lot but over the last couple of years, the family has been working on fixing things and Mallorie + Cody thought the wedding would be a perfect way to bring everyone back together again to a place has a lot of memories. It was wonderful seeing their families together at such a special place!

Their wedding was so beautiful, set on a mountaintop under an arch of beautiful pink and white flowers (handmade by Mallorie’s grandpa!), with a summer storm off in the distance. Being an intimate cabin wedding, they wanted to go for a laid back feel and they absolutely nailed it with a small campfire, yard games like jenga and bean bag tosses. Mallorie’s cousin is an incredible cake baker out of Omaha, and made their wedding cake on site (and boy was it super tasty!).
