Ever since we moved to Georgia earlier this summer, I’ve been itching to photograph a family session at Driftwood Beach. I’d seen photos of it online and on social media, and it looked like such an incredible spot to have a Jekyll Island family session. So when Marian asked for me to head up to have her family session at Driftwood Beach, I was soooo stoked! We even went and spent some time taking family photos at Horton House, this beautiful ruin that was built in 1743.
Y’all – it’s even better in person than pictures can explain. I can see why Jekyll Island is such a popular place for coastal Georgia family sessions! It honestly reminded me a lot of La Push in Washington at First Beach
Marian and her family are absolutely beautiful – inside and out, and we had so much fun exploring the Horton House ruins and frolicking on the beach together at Driftwood Beach. I got to play with their little girls, as they squealed and giggled and explored, and it was a joy to see them loving every minute! There might be nothing more adorable than little kids playing on the beach – especially with their toes in the sand, unafraid of the water or getting their dresses dirty. It totally made my day!
