There might be nothing better in the world than an intimate mountain cabin wedding. It’s everything I love about weddings – a focus on the family, lots of DIY details, and let’s be honest: mountain weddings have the best views in the world! But then when you add in an adorable couple and a beautiful family-owned cabin in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, man oh man – it’s a dream come true!
Easton and Michelle met a few years ago at a Halloween party (she was a bunny, he was a clown) and from that very first night, they knew that they had something special. But it wasn’t until a concert at Red Rocks Ampitheater, watching The Lumineers in the pouring rain, that Michelle knew that Easton was the One for her; Easton knew that Michelle was his destiny after a trip to his family’s cabin out in Oklahoma. A couple of years ago, they welcomed their adorable daughter Emma into the world, and just a couple of weekend’s ago made their marriage official at Michelle’s aunt’s cabin (CC Ranch) in Florissant (a small town just outside of Woodland Park, in the mountains to the west of Colorado Springs).
Under a beautiful rustic arch in the front law of CC Ranch, and a light sprinkle of autumn rain, Easton and Michelle exchanged vows and together with Emma, celebrated their marriage with a sand ceremony. After the ceremony, 20 or so of their closest friends and family gathered under a tent and each gave them a piece of advice for their relationship, and ate a delicious meal prepared by Garden of the Gods Catering and Events.
