Forgive me for a minute while I get a little gushy in my annual obligatory thankful blog …

This year has been busy.

Randy + I celebrated our 15th anniversary of being together.

We’ve had the busiest business year we have ever had.

We finished remodeling and sold our house in California.

We packed up and moved to Colorado mid-winter, mid-school year.

Danny started high school.

We lived in an RV for 5 months.

Randy + I took over 2 dozen flights for work across the country (and didn’t crash once).

We lost our doxie puppy Charlie, and welcomed Barry Allen into our family.

We lost my grandmother, Ellie.

Sierra found out that she has moderate to severe hearing loss in her left ear.

Daniel and Noah played their first full season of tackle football and we became a Football Parents.

We bought our dream house in Colorado.

I mean … it’s just been one of the most up-and-down years of our lives, experiencing some of the most devastating and most beautiful seasons we’ve ever faced. Together, as a family, we’ve weathered it all.

I know it’s cheesy and I know it’s cliche, but I just have to express how thankful I am.

Thankful for having the opportunity to work with my best friend.

Thankful for the opportunity to move home to Colorado and not worry about a paycheck.

Thankful for our kids, who are endlessly gracious with us as we navigate through our career and parenthood.

Thankful for our friends, who have answered the late night (early morning) texts and sent words of encouragement.

And mostly, I’m so thankful for everything 2017 taught us … and for all of the amazing adventures planned in 2018!!!
