Poulsbo Washington Senior Session
Alex has literally grown up in front of my camera. Ever since we started our business, I’ve been coming to visit Amy (one of my best friends) to document her family portraits. No matter where they lived or where I live, I’ve come every other year to document her family and it’s been such a blessing to watch her beautiful kiddos grow up. Some of my absolute favorite memories during sessions has been with Amy and her family – like that one time I sat in duck poop and got stuck in the Kitsap Peninsula!
But this year was a little bittersweet, though. You see, her oldest daughter Alex is graduating high school this year and this time I didn’t come out just to take family photos, but to really spend time with Alex and document her senior portraits. We walked all over downtown Poulsbo (which to be honest, isn’t a whole lot of walking since it’s only a couple of blocks long, haha!), we talked about Alex’s plans for college and her future career in cyber security over a couple of slices of her favorite pizza, and we even paid a visit to her high school!
What I loved most about visiting with Alex is seeing what kind of young woman she’s growing up to be. She’s not only class president in one of the most academically rigorous high schools in the pacific northwest, but she’s also an amazing big sister to Madi + Liam, an avid reader, talented with a bow + arrow (yes, just like Merida), a wonderfully dedicated friend and just an all-around delightful human being.
Amy, you’ve done a beautiful job raising this fierce, beautiful, talented and amazing daughter!
