Just over a year ago, we got to photograph a wedding at Green Mountain Ranch in Lytle Creek that quite honestly was just pure craziness. Not only was it POURING rain and thundering and lightning, but there was a crazy forest fire nearby, an absurd amount of traffic due to several car accidents on the way there, and flash flooding … and not to mention, Ash was in the middle of a medical crisis (post-surgical complications) and hadn’t eaten in about a week at that point (except for Jello). This was literally the hardest wedding we ever shot, because it was just … well, crazy (for lack of a better explanation, hahaha!). But you know what? It was also one of the most beautiful and special weddings, too. Despite the stress and the chaos of it all, Stephanie + Kyle’s love persevered and everyone had a fantastic time, dancing in the rain, smelling that not-too-far-off campfire smell. “We could not let all the unplanned-for occurrences mar our wedding day,” Stephanie says. “It was about the two of us coming together, not about pulling off a perfect wedding.” And THAT, friends, is what made it perfect anyway!
Our friends over at The Knot featured their wedding today in their Real Weddings gallery – go check it out!!
