This summer was wild with weddings and honestly, we’ve been so focused on making sure we were serving our couples that blogging took a little bit of a backseat to getting galleries out! But! We are in the process of playing catch-up with sharing summer weddings, and first up is John and Melissa’s Shove Chapel wedding at Colorado College in Colorado Springs!
We first met John and Melissa last year when we photographed their engagement session at Garden of the Gods and we immediately just loved them both! They both love each other so fiercely, and their wedding day was a beautiful recognition of their friendship, respect for each other and the incredible love the two of them share. And Shove Chapel? Easily one of the coolest churches to get married at in Colorado Springs. It’s very dark in there (as you can probably tell when you scroll down), and Melissa had the idea to brighten it up with beautiful candles that lined the aisle. It made the whole ceremony look so cinematic – we loved this simple DIY idea!!
Their reception was held at the Wedgewood in Black Forest, and it was so much fun with dancing, yummy cake and lots of amazing speeches from John and Melissa’s friends and family!
