Wedding Wednesdays continues this week with Patrick and Maranda’s Shupe Homestead wedding in Longmont! September is such a magical time to get married in Colorado – it’s got the warmth and golden colors of both summer and fall, and you never really know what the weather is going to be like. Luckily for all of us, the weather proved to be absolutely beautiful for this country wedding!
This wedding had some of my favorite DIY aspects, including Patrick’s mother doing all of the floral arrangements for the bouquets and decor! Barbara did an absolutely incredible job! Many of the guests drove all the way up from all over Texas (including Maranda’s hairdresser, Katy – who was just on the blog a few days ago with her fiance Bud for their engagement session!). But my absolute favorite thing that these two did was ask for Maranda’s grandfather to walk her down the aisle, since Maranda’s father passed away a few years ago. It was such a sweet moment, and one I’ll remember always!
