It was a cold and breezy day in Joshua Tree when we met up with Haig and Tenny just a few days ago for their Southern California desert engagement session. We had the absolute best time with these two and we are so excited for their wedding next fall in Indian Wells!!
When we asked how they met and knew each other was the One, they shared this sly giggle, Haig laughed and said, “she didn’t like me at all when we met!” They met back when they were in junior high school through Haig’s cousin, who happens to be Tenny’s best friend. Haig insists that he knew he’d marry her the day they met, but it took Tenny a bit longer – she didn’t give him a second glance until after she graduated from college! One day she saw him and as she put it, “whoa, heyyy, where’d you come from!?” and they started to date …. and now, here we are!
Haig proposed to Tenny this past summer on a mini getaway to Palm Springs, and he totally surprised her with it! He planned this whole set up, complete with flowers and champaign in a garden at the hotel they were staying at, and across the lake was a small group of special family and friends who got to watch! Tenny said it was the best surprise of her life, because she had always wanted to enjoy her engagement with the people she lives the most, and it “couldn’t have been more perfect.”
And after the shoot, Haig brought out an amazing bottle of bourbon and we toasted to new friends, love and marriage – which is totally the best way to end an engagement session!! We can’t wait to hang out with them again next year!!
