Spanish Hills Country Club Wedding

Cody stood at the altar, looking down at his hands clasped in front of him, taking deep breaths.

Waiting, waiting.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he looked up and over the hedges, he could just see the top of his bride’s hair, her cathedral veil trailing behind her as her father escorted her down the aisle. With a gentle hug and a last kiss, Ashley’s father handed her to Cody, tears seeping from her mother’s eyes and her father stoically watched the beginning of the ceremony that would bring their family together.

It was amazing to watch, a blessing to witness.

We can hardly believe that Cody + Ashley’s wedding has already come and gone. It seems like it was not too long ago that Ashley first called us to talk about her wedding in Camarillo at the Spanish Hills Country Club. It was going to be rustic yet modern, some DIY mixed in with the beauty of the venue, and it ended up being a dream come true. We met them in person almost a year ago to do their engagement session out in Pioneertown, and ever since then we have looked forward to their wedding day.

Surrounded by their friends and family, Cody + Ashley exchanged vows with tears in their eyes (only cursing once, it wouldn’t be their wedding without at least one F-bomb, right guys?! It was absolute comic relief, that’s for sure!). Their ceremony concluded with a beautiful sand ceremony, and as they officially husband and wife, everyone blew bubbles and cheered!

Following their sweet ceremony, everyone danced and dined in the beautiful ballroom to the music played by Cody’s uncle (who also happens to be a DJ up in Stockton). When it came time for the bouquet toss, Ashley surprised everyone by handing off her bouquet to a dear friend who hopefully will be the next to be married (her face was priceless, guys!).

And now? Now Cody + Ashley are off in Thailand on a nearly two-week-long adventure, and we are so happy for our friends. We are so excited to share these images today with you all, and hope you love them as much as we loved being there!
