Oh man, you guys. We are so stoked to be sharing Leah and Rebecca’s summertime sunset engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park on our blog!!! When these two said they wanted to go somewhere amazing for their engagement session, we knew we HAD to head up to Estes Park and split their Rocky Mountain National Park engagement session into two locations: Trail Ridge Road and Sprague Lake. We were treated with an incredible summertime sunset and even better, we got to hang out with two incredible people!

Rebecca and Leah met on their first day of grad school at the University of Denver after they were randomly partnered together for their first class assignment. For both of them, they knew each other was someone incredible after their first study date – Rebecca said Leah immediately just perfectly into all of her life dreams, and Leah said that Rebecca just seemingly understand everything about her without explanation – it was just ‘right’ for them both right away. They started hanging out every day after that first study date – and have never stopped ever since!

After a few years dating, Leah started planning to propose by asking Rebecca’s dad for permission. Leah tells the story best:

I had arranged for a bunch of her friends to fly into town the weekend of the proposal as a surprise – as I know how much they all mean to her. On March 10, I nervously convinced Rebecca to go to DU and proposed outside the building where we first met. It was cold and she complained about the wind and paying for parking – but she said yes! We then got dressed up for a celebratory brunch, where all of Rebecca’s friends were waiting to surprise her and shower her with love. Rebecca: We had decided that Leah would propose, and I had no desire to get down on one knee, but giving her an engagement ring was still important. I had no idea when she was planning to propose BUT conveniently, about a week before Leah proposed, I decided I should probably go pick out a ring – just to be prepared. Talk about perfect timing! The day after she proposed, I left Leah at home to go ‘pick up my friends from their hotel’ and grab the newly sized ring from the jewelry store. With the help of my friends, I wrote ‘Will you marry me?” on the sidewalk outside our house, convinced her to walk outside, and lucky for me, she also said yes!

And now here we are – getting ready for their Colorado wedding, and we can’t wait!!
