There’s nothing quite like waking up a zero dark thirty for an engagement session. Sunrise engagement sessions are so much different than any other time of the day – everything is still, less crowded and everything looks differently in the morning light. Of course, Peter and Amy’s sunrise engagement session at Garden of the Gods happened on a super cloudy, overcast morning … but it was still absolutely gorgeous, despite not getting that golden morning light! We spent the morning hiking around a few miles (!!!) around the park, climbing all over the rocks and taking in the beauty of Garden of the Gods without all the crazy traffic and tourists wandering around the trails. If you’ve never been to Garden of the Gods at sunrise – we highly recommend it!
These two met at a sports bar, and bonded over their mutual love of soccer. In fact, it’s Amy’s connection to soccer that initially introduced her to us – one of our past couples and one of our past family regulars both played soccer with her! It always just amazes us just how small the world is when things like that happen! Anyway, Peter and Amy met about three years ago and very early on in their relationship, they both realized that each other was something special.
But, it wasn’t until this past Thanksgiving that Peter proposed. He organized for all of Amy’s family to come together in Nashville, and even hired a local photographer to capture the moment. Isn’t that super sweet?!?
And now, here we are!! They’re getting married this winter here in Colorado Springs, and we couldn’t be more excited!!
