A few years ago I stopped making New Years Resolutions. It just seemed so pointless, and an easy way to set myself up for failure. I’m not knocking New Years Resolutions, because they certainly work for some people; but for me? Nah. Not so much.
Last year my word of the year was INTENTION. I spent the entire year being very intentional with my choices and my time – getting my health under control, how I spend my time online, even my career. I made very intentional decisions about it ALL. This year I am taking my intention a step further, and I am devoting this next year to my SELF. I decided that “SELF” is my 2021 word of the year, and I am friggin’ here for it!!

My obesity is one of the most raw, embarrassing, humbling and deep-to-my-core topics I will ever talk about. But, I am not going to shy away from sharing because if I have learned one thing through my years of blogging: people connect here. And if I come across one person who can relate and let them know they are not alone, that I’m here – all the better.
