Picking a wedding venue is no easy task. There is so much to take into consideration, from aesthetics to capacity, budget and character. As a wedding photographer in Lake Geneva, I am so lucky to live so close to some of the best wedding venues in southern Wisconsin! I’ve been blessed to photograph at several of these locations since we moved to Wisconsin in 2020 and I can’t wait to photograph at all of them in the coming years.

The Abbey Resort

The Abbey Resort in Fontana is just outside of Lake Geneva, and offers a lot of amazing options for your wedding day, including lakeside and indoor ceremonies, ballrooms, a patio, gazebos and more. Guests are able to stay on-site, too!

Abbey Springs

With both indoor and outdoor options, Abbey Springs is a gorgeous wedding venue in Fontana (just down the road from the town of Lake Geneva). Abbey Springs has beautiful lakeside tent for weddings May through October, which is a photographers dream!

Boxed and Burlap

Boxed and Burlap not only has some of the tastiest coffee in southern Wisconsin, they also have a beautiful venue for weddings! Their indoor barn is a mix of rustic and modern elegance, there is a beautiful bridal suite on site and it’s only a short drive away from Lake Geneva, Lake Como and Delavan Lake!

The Cove of Lake Geneva

The Cove of Lake Geneva is located near downtown Lake Geneva, with easy access to the Lake and incredible picturesque opportunities. They offer a ballroom as well as on-site rooms for guests.

Geneva Grand

The Geneva Grand is an all-inclusive resort that offers spa services, hotel rooms, and multiple options for ceremony and reception sites. I love the Geneva Grand!

Geneva National Resort

The Geneva National Resort is a staple in Lake Geneva, and host to the incredible Ice Castles every winter! You can host up to 270 guests at this all-inclusive resort on the shores of Lake Como.

Harbor Shores

Harbor Shores offers on-site accommodations, a beautiful bridal suite and the Lighthouse Ballroom for up to 200 guests.

Hawk’s View Golf Course

Hawk’s View Golf Course is a gorgeous wedding venue option in Lake Geneva, especially if you’re having a larger event. With amenities that can host up to 350 guests, Hawk’s View also has a nearly 100-year-old barn for photo ops and an Engish garden!

Holy Communion Lake Geneva

Interested in having a church ceremony for your destination Lake Geneva wedding? Check out Holy Communion, located downtown with the infamous red doors. This church ceremony venue is open to ceremonies of all faiths.

Horticulture Hall

Right next door to Holy Communion Lake Geneva, Horticulture Hall is a cute little venue for weddings up to 160 people. They are open year-round, have a gorgeous outdoor garden and a cool rustic indoor space.

Lake Geneva Cruise Lines might be the most fun venue to get married at in Lake Geneva! With 8 different options for you, you can actually get married on the lake and create an incredible experience for your guests.

Lake Lawn Resort

Lake Lawn Resort is in nearby Delavan, and is an all-inclusive resort. You can stay on site, play some golf, get pampered at Calladora Spa, and celebrate your wedding in one of the ballrooms, on the patio or at one of two outdoor ceremony sites! I love Lake Lawn Resort!

Maxwell Mansion

Maxwell Mansion is a really awesome boutique wedding venue in Lake Geneva. There is a beautiful and spacious bridal suite, and the entire mansion is decorated impeccably. This venue is perfect for smaller weddings and elopements!

The Ridge

The Ridge is a beautiful and modern mid-size hotel just a few miles away from downtown Lake Geneva. There are both indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony and reception, including a bright and airy ballroom!

The Riviera Ballroom

The Riviera Ballroom is absolutely synonmyous with Lake Geneva! Located right on the shores of downtown Lake Geneva, the Riviera offers space for up to 380 guests.

Rosewood

A new venue in Delavan is Rosewood featuring farm-to-table catering and a rustic aesthetic. Able to serve up to 200 guests, there are indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies, receptions and cocktail hours.

The Treasury

The Treasury is the perfect Wisconsin venue for couples looking for a modern, bright and airy space for their small to medium sized weddings. Brand new in 2021, there is also an outdoor street rental option, too!

White River County Park

6503 Sheridan Springs Rd, Lake Geneva | WEBSITE

White River County Park is one of my favorite shooting locations in Lake Geneva, and it is also a very budget friendly spot to get married. The pavilion is available for rent for all kinds of events, and the area is surrounded by beautiful greenery and of course, the White River.
