Then, before I went to blow them out, he yells, “Stop! Wait! I need to pull the batteries out of the smoke detector first!” 😒😂 Free husband, anyone?! Any takers?! 😂

I basically had one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. I spent the day with my zoo of children and puppies and chickens and husband, I got some incredibly thoughtful gifts, my best friend since summer before sophomore year in high school FaceTimed me from the beach in California, I got no less than a dozen videos and voice recordings and internet friends singing me happy birthday, and I felt very, very loved from sun up to sun down.

My 36th trip around the sun was probably the most trying and difficult year of my life (and hot damn that is SAYING SOMETHING) … but if today proves anything, it’s that my 37th is going to be the best one yet.🙌

Thank you for all the birthday love, it means the world to me that people near and far took a minute of their time to think about me and wish me a happy day. 🥰
