Grand Canyon University, Class of 2025
Dante and Krystal
Meet Dante and Krystal, graduates of the class of 2025 from Grand Canyon University! Together they both graduated with their Master’s degrees, after having completed their respective degrees from their home state of Hawaii. They flew out together from the big island of Hawaii, and brought some of their Hawaiian culture with them. Krystal wore a beautiful haku lei, a woven floral crown for women which is a symbol of respect, honor, and aloha, and is often worn during celebrations and events. Dante donned a ti leaf lei , which is a significant symbol of protection, good luck, and blessings. It is also seen as a way to honor and show respect for others, especially during special occasions like weddings or graduations.
We met up the night before their graduation for their senior mini session, and had the most incredible sunset light shining through the palm tree lined path at Grand Canyon University. We even tracked down the GCU letters to take photos in front of them! Just a heads up for future GCU graduates – the big purple letters are not in the same spot every year!
