My dear friend Rachel, who has been my friend since we were 11 years old, is getting married next year. Her fiance, Jose, went to our high school and is a wonderful man; he told me about how he used to torment her in high school – he was that stereotypical boy who’d pull a girl’s hair because he liked her (although in Rachel’s case, he’d smack her butt – haha!). I was so excited when Rachel + Jose asked me to do their engagement pictures while I was in southern California visiting (my big brother was getting married) – it gave me an excuse to spend an afternoon with Rach and meet her fiance … We had LOTS of laughs, and we did the shoot at a family friend’s house. Seriously – how gorgeous is the scenery in Palm Springs??
