We’re totally breaking tradition, here. Sure – on occasion we’ll take on a family session but it’s pretty rare that we’ll share any … until today!
Over the weekend, Ashley took on her very last Red Thread Sessions adoption family session with Meredith, Andy and their SEVEN beautiful children: Kate, Annie, Summer, Gracie, Nick, Cruz + Cai. This family is INCREDIBLE – so kind and generous, the children are all talented, smart, athletic and just as kind and amazing as their parents. It was amazing to spend a couple of hours with them, talking about all the places they’ve lived with Andy’s career in the Marine Corps, their kids, our kids, life in the high desert and of course – the reason why we were brought together: Cruz + Cai!
Cruz + Cai were both adopted from China in the last couple of years; in fact, Cai just came home a month ago! Meredith had reached out to us about documenting their first official family photos before they even left for China, and we’ve been blessed to witness the whole transition from a family of eight to a family of nine over the last few months. Adoption is something so near and dear to our hearts (Ashley is adopted, and we have plans to adopt in the future) – so it’s been an honor to be part of this process with their family.
