So, Missee and Matt are our best friends. They are auntie and uncle to our kiddos, they are our date night friends, they are who we call at 3am. So, when they decided to start trying to have babies … well, she and I started to scheme. We even did mustache-twirling, evil giggles … because we knew how AWESOME it would be to surprise Matt with the great news.
So when Missee sent me this text message on a Wednesday morning …
… Our evil plan came to fruition. That Friday. Because we seriously couldn’t wait ANY longer than that.
Yep, that’s right … Matt + Missee are EXPECTING!!!!! Randy and I couldn’t be more thrilled for our wonderful friends, who will make the best parents possible. I have been sitting on this blog post since JULY and it has been KILLING ME not to share the happy news. But now that they have made it “Facebook official” and told their family … I am allowed to share the AMAZING news!!!
So how this all went down was – Randy was standing next to me when Missee texted me, and when I started screaming with joy and jumping up and down like a lunatic, he just knew it was Missee telling me she was pregnant. So we had Randy text Matt, and tell him that since we were all off on Friday afternoon, he’d like to do a little OCF/posing practice with them. Being the BFF that he is, Matt of course agreed without hesitation. Little did he know that he would be getting the best news of his life. I am SO proud of Missee for keeping it a secret for a couple of days, because his reaction was worth every minute of the wait!!!
So under the pretense of “teaching Randy” – we put together this little shoot. I told Matt that sometimes I have couples write little love notes to each other on a chalkboard, and then you show it to each other and “awww, how cute, kiss kiss kiss!”. So Matt went first … and then Missee went … and the rest is history!
