Palmer Park Engagement Session in Colorado Springs
In between snowstorms a couple of weeks ago, we had this beautifully warm day and it was on that day, that we got to hang out with Andrew and Maggie for their Palmer Park engagement session in Colorado Springs! And luckily, they brought their sweet puppy girl Kona to hang out with us! She might be one of the most well-behaved and mellow dogs we’ve ever gotten to be around – and she totally stole the show! She’ll definitely make the cutest flower girl later this year at their wedding!
These two met while teaching skiing in Aspen; Andrew has taught skiing lessons for many years and Maggie had come to help teach for a couple of weeks during spring break. In less than 2 days, they had fallen head over
heels skis for each other! And then something crazy happened – they realized they’d been running in adjacent circles their entire lives; for example, Maggie’s god father is Andrew’s since-he-was-four best friend’s step dad. The world is a small place, isn’t it??
After dating for some time, Maggie brought up the topic about getting married one night while looking up at the stars together. They got her finger sized, and Andrew worked in secret with a jeweler from Boulder to design the perfect ring for Maggie’s grandmother’s diamond. Andrew surprised Maggie and officially proposed halfway up a hike in Golden at Mount Galbraith (which happens to be their favorite place to hike) and now …. here we are!!
We hiked around on a beautiful afternoon for their Palmer Park engagement session, and Randy even made a short engagement film!
