While I was back in Wisconsin for a recent wedding, my friend Lori asked me if I could take her son Kaleb’s senior boy photos at the lake. He absolutely loves the beach, and so we went down to Kenosha next to Lake Michigan. There’s a cool beach there with a lighthouse, and I especially loved the tall grass that grows right off the sand. It reminded me a lot of Florida, actually!
Now that I’ve moved to Arizona and serve as a Phoenix senior photographer, I know there’s a lot of teens looking to take non-desert photos. Did you know that Lake Pleasant is a great alternative to the desert? Located less than half hour north of the 303 loop, there are beaches and options for sessions in the water. Don’t want to drive all the way to Lake Pleasant for senior photos? Papago Park in Phoenix, located just next to the Phoenix Zoo, has sort of a tropical vibe to it with palm trees next to a large pond!
