This was a very special homecoming for me. We’ve been counting down the days and minutes to Matt’s homecoming since last October!! You see, Matt is Randy’s best friend and Missee is my best friend. They are our family, and it’s been a VERY long 9 month separation. Mattee missed out on the birth of his first daughter (although he was very lucky to have been able to be by Missee’s side thanks to Skype!) and Penelope’s first three months. There were lots of delays for the big homecoming day, but when it finally happened – it was totally worth it! It happened to fall on what could quite possibly be the best day ever for a military homecoming – July 4th!!!
