Staunton State Park Engagement Session
Colorado has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and every time we get to explore a new part of this beautiful state I get reminded of that fact. Patrick and Maranda’s Staunton State Park engagement session happened right after the first snowfall of the year, but we still lucked out with just a touch of that golden fall color! We had so much fun hiking around with Rufus and Cali (their sweet pups)! Both of the puppies love to hike, and Rufus even held still long enough for us to balance Maranda’s engagement ring on his nose! I’ve been trying to get that photo for years, but Rufus was the first puppy to pull it off!
Maranda met Patrick over the phone initially, because he was a leasing agent and she wanted to see an apartment while they were living in Fort Worth. They hit it off, and ended up taking their big dogs on walks together … and the rest, as they say is history! These two are just so sweet together, they remind me a lot of how Randy and I are together!
After a couple years of dating, over Easter weekend earlier this year, Patrick planned out an epic hike up Lion’s Head in Stauton State Park up in the Rocky Mountains. It took nearly two hours for them to get to the top, but, Maranda said the views were absolutely incredible! While they were sitting at the top, Patrick reached into his bag and pulled out a ring and proposed! He totally took ‘Good Friday’ to the BEST Friday!
They’re getting married next year at the gorgeous Shoup Homestead here in Colorado, and their friends and family are coming from all over and we cannot wait!! We just know it’s going to be absolutely incredible!!
