Ever since becoming a #Showiteer a few weeks ago, I’ve been watching as many weekly broadcasts as I can, with photographers I love and respect. Sometimes they’re teaching about SEO, or attracting your ideal client, or like today – Jasmine Star was talking about blogging. I’m an avid blogger, I love coming on here and sharing more than just recent sessions and weddings … this place is MY place online. Something Jasmine shared today that really resonated with me … and it was actually something her MOM who said it … she said …
There was something about that simple phrase that struck a chord with me. This month, Randy and I are celebrating our 5th Anniversary of being in business. Over the last 5 years, our little-company-that-could went from shooting everything in the basement of our base housing town home in North Dakota … to shooting some of the most fabulous weddings in Southern California (and beyond, so excited for all the traveling we have planned in 2016!), having opportunities to work on a television show (yeah! more on THAT later!), and working with some of the most amazing people ever. In a million years, I never gave myself permission to dream of all the wonderful and exciting blessings that the last 5 years has brought.
And hearing Jasmine repeat what her mom said … it made me think … where will we be in 5 MORE years?
Just feeling a bit blessed today, and letting ourselves dream BIG … so we know where we’re going, and most importantly – when we will have arrived.
