Wintery Big Bear Family Photography Session

This past weekend we had the opportunity to hang out with one of Randy’s childhood friends and his beautiful family again for a wintery Big Bear family photography session … and boy did we luck out! Not only was there gorgeous snow all over the ground, but, the golden light up there was just phenomenal! And, surprisingly, it was pretty warm despite all the snow everywhere! I couldn’t get over the winter light though, it was perfectly golden and all that snow acted as the world’s best natural reflector!

I absolutely adore this family, through and through. Randy has known Steve since elementary school, and I have been friends with him since Randy and I got together in 2002. When he met and married Jessica, it was wonderful to have another friend of ours find the love of his life! And while we were with them, Steve and Jessica mentioned that they celebrated ten years of marriage last year, and all I could think was – holy smokes, where did they time go by!?! And their boys – Aydin, Tyler and Kylan – are three of the coolest boys in the world. We brought our kids up to Big Bear with us and after I got done with their family photos, we all hung out together back at their cabin for a while so the kids could all sled together. There was this awesome hill on-site at their cabin and the kids just loved it!! Totally made us miss the snow and mountains even more than we already do, which I didn’t think was even possible – hahaha!

We can’t wait to hang out with their family again, hopefully next time on the wintery slopes in Colorado!

What family session in 2017 wouldn’t be complete without the kids dabbing a little bit?! Our kids are obsessed with doing this, too! Oyyyy! Hahaha!
