Truth be told – this little alleyway is one of my favorite places in Colorado Springs. This was my first time back to this little sweet spot since we moved back this year! You might remember, we actually shot what we lovingly referred to as “part one” of Chris + Ali’s engagement session a few weeks ago at Monument Valley Park. We had originally intended to do this whole session in one day – but as luck would have it, I completely ruptured my calf muscle halfway through their session! Eeek! Luckily, I’m all better now for the most part and so just a few days ago we finished their engagement session at the Mining Exchange Hotel!

The Mining Exchange Hotel is a very special place for Ali and Chris; not only is it just a gorgeous venue with a lot of rich history, but it is actually where they are going to be getting married later this fall! Their ceremony will be in the actual alleyway that we photographed their engagement session in, and the cocktail hour will be on that beautiful balcony! We got to peek into the ballroom where the reception will be, and it’s going to look so stunning.

Randy + I just love hanging out with these two – they’re both so sweet and down to earth! So getting to do two mini engagement sessions instead of one was actually a lot of fun, and a rad opportunity to hang out with them.

And – this session is also a peek of the gorgeous gold sequin dress that Ali is going to be wearing for their rehearsal dinner!

Something fun that they did was bring some fun props for an impromptu photo booth reenactment. We had a lot of fun being goofy with fake lips and mustaches, and the cute shot glasses they also brought!
