A Child’s Story | Maycee Jo, Fountain, CO Children’s Photography

Earlier this month, I met up with Daniel and Allyson again (remember their fun family session?) – but this time we met just so we could celebrate Maycee Jo’s first birthday! I hadn’t done a cake smash session in a long time – this was actually my first since moving to Colorado! It was so much fun though, Maycee loved her cake (I believe it was her first time eating anything super sugary).

We did the session at Fountain Nature Center a little early in the month because Daniel was at military training for her actual birthday, which was just a couple of days ago on April 23. Once Daddy is back home, they are going to have a Veggietales BBQ birthday party at home in Dallas – because Maycee absolutely LOVES Veggietales (and Elmo … and Minnie Mouse!). She I love sweet little Maycee Jo, she is one of my favorite child clients – always so happy and giggly, but coy at the same time! She is such a joy to her family – always giggling at the things she does, making everyone just love her instantly. Seriously – sweetest baby ever! She’s also very much her own person already though, as Allyson puts it : “Maycee is a pretty spunky kid … she makes her own plans. It’s Maycee’s way or the highway!”

Maycee Jo has a bright future ahead of her. Their family is moving overseas in a few months, and I’m pretty bummed about it – but super excited for them and their new adventure!
