We took a day trip to Jekyll Island yesterday to explore because Randy and the kids hadn’t been there yet. That, and the fact I needed a mental health day outside, exploring and just spending time with the family.
We saw wild boars on the drive, walked 6.5 miles through forests and beaches, pulled more than a dozen ticks off of ourselves, saw turtles and birds and had a really good mental health day.
It’s important to take time off and just do things together. Family time doesn’t have to cost anything, and sometimes it does more for the soul than anything else.
Also, I think I am gonna go back up there to take “big camera” photos and start sharing more about my coastal Georgia adventures. 🥰
