Meet Aaron and Melanie! I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful, wonderful couple just a few days ago at Rock Ledge Ranch. They are friends with Dan + Sasha, and aside from sharing awesome friends – we are also on the same journey of adoption! We spent a lot of time at our session talking about our experiences thus far in the process, the ups and downs and everything in between. Aaron, a two-time cancer survivor, had the biggest grin on his face when I asked him how they got together. He talked about how he would purposely walk by her desk at work, and Melanie was just completely oblivious to him! But, his plan worked because eventually she asked him out for drinks and the rest, as they say, is history. They got married in 2007 and almost immediately started to try and have kids … and over the course of time, were lead to adoption. This session was actually done as part of their packet that will be shown to potential birth moms! I am very happy for them, and can’t wait until they finally get connected with their very lucky son or daughter! Enjoy! xoxo
