Several weeks ago, Mike reached out to me to scheme together to plan a blended family session with a surprise proposal at the end. I had to keep it a secret for what feels like forever, even through Elizabeth’s senior photos that I did a couple weeks before this session. Mike and I talked for weeks about when and where we were going to do it. Mike had a great idea to do it at Michele’s home, which has a beautiful empty lot right next to one of the lakes in Waterford. Eventually, they plan to build their dream home on this lot – so that made it that much more special! Michele’s mom even came to town under the guise of helping with family photos!
And then at the tail end of our time together, I gave Mike the wink-and-nod that it was time to propose. I played a posing game that made Michelle turn around, and Mike got down on one knee behind her. We caught it on video for them too, pretending Randy was filming a reel for me. Here it is!
