Earlier this summer, one of our grooms gave his bride-to-be one of the most thoughtful and well-planned out bridal gifts on their wedding day that we have ever seen.

It didn’t cost him anything and it meant absolutely everything.

When they got officially engaged, a little over a year before their wedding, Jim created a new email account using what would be Sharilyn’s new last name. As if that weren’t sweet enough, over the course of their engagement he would send her emails: love letters, photos of the two of them together while they were out on dates and other adventures, sometimes just a note that said hi and how much he loved her. Dozens and dozens of emails, all sent to her new Mrs email.

I wish we had been there when Jim gave Sharilyn the email and password, so we could of documented her reaction because knowing Sharilyn, it was probably one hell of a smile and a few tears at the sheer thoughtfulness in Jim’s gift. Even when she told us about it the minute we got to the hotel, her eyes were still shiny with tears talking about it.

And that’s the thing guys: gifts don’t have to be extravagant or expensive – so long as they come from the heart!!
