Phil and Becky are two of the raddest people on the planet. We met them a few months ago on Skype, since they live up in San Jose and were having a destination wedding in Bermuda Dunes (a small suburb outside of Palm Springs/Palm Desert). We immediately just fell in love with them and their relationship – such kick back, chill people who had amazing family and friends. In fact, during that first Skype date – some of their wedding party was actually hanging out with them at their house (eating all the meatballs and cracking jokes) … which totally set the tone for our entire experience with them from start to … well, now – because there’s no way we’re finished hanging out with these two!
They decided to have a late morning wedding by the pool at the absolutely AMAZING Barcelona home at the Laguna Seca Estates – those homes are seriously some of the most amazing houses we’ve ever been inside. Absolutely spacious and beautifully designed, perfect for estate weddings for sure! They served this amazing French toast dish that seriously was worth every bite (and subsequent hours at the gym), with huevos rancheros and a cute little coffee bar and the crème de la crème: a beautifully delicious donut tower. Yes. a TOWER. Their DIY cake toppers represented all the important things in their relationship – like traveling, London (where Phil proposed), Phil’s time as a football player for San Jose State and their two cats.
Phil’s best friend Liam officiated the ceremony (which, by the way, is one of our favorite trends – having a BFF act as officiant! Totally made it more personal!) – which included music from Jurassic Park and lots of tender moments (and a lot more laughter). The theme from Jurassic Park is actually a really beautiful melody (or is it a harmony? We can never remember) and it totally fit with the fun, quirky atmosphere of their brunch poolside wedding!
Following the ceremony, the entire bridal party jumped into the pool. Can we say RADDEST WEDDING EVER!??!
