It was a gorgeous, early September afternoon when we got to do this gorgeous engagement session with Casey and Danielle. They are such a sweet and adorable couple! Can you believe they actually met when they were in third grade? They didn’t get together until senior year, but these high school sweethearts are still absolutely in love and getting ready to graduate from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley this December – this is definitely a very exciting year for them.

And even more exciting, they are in the early stages of planning their fall-themed October 2014 wedding, which they are hoping to have at the Pinery here in Colorado Springs. Casey, a computer science major, asked Danielle to marry him while on a trip up to the Sebastian Hotel in Vail after first getting her dad’s permission. Danielle got the biggest smile on her face when she told us about Casey getting down on one knee – it was one of the most magical moments, we could just tell. We loved watching the two of them be together, just holding hands and trying not to crack up when we tried to get the more “serious” faces, kissing and hugging and just – being young and in love.

We did this shoot at both the Garden of the Gods as well as this gorgeous alleyway at the Mining Exchange in downtown Colorado Springs. Enjoy! xoxo
