It’s amazing how quickly a year passed from the time that we first sat down with Shelbi + Chase over a couple cups of coffee. Shelbi is one of those amazing brides who likes to really plan things out, take her time and do things right – and she’s also incredibly busy studying to become a nurse. So when she asked if she could book us two years in advance of their wedding day – we didn’t hesitate at all. Why? Because that just meant we had all kinds of time to spend time with them before their wedding, prolonging the process!! Win-win!!
These two are basically high school/college sweethearts, and in no rush because forever is … well, forever! They met when Shelbi was still in high school and Chase back home visiting from college and despite growing up in the same town, had never met until they bumped into each other at a mutual friend’s party. The feeling of each other being the One wasn’t instantaneous but rather cultivated opinion that developed after years of being together and becoming the best of friends.
And now here they are planning their destination wedding in La Quinta for next winter and we’re soooooo excited!!
Desert Morning Engagement Session
We met up with them while we were in Southern California just a few days ago and we met up for their engagement session the last morning we were in town. The super bloom out by Highway 74 in Palm Desert was absolutely gorgeous! All of the beautiful yellow and purple flowers out in the desert is something I can’t even really put into words. It was just breathtaking, to say the least. We had a great time just hanging out with Shelbi + Chase, talking about the craziness of our weekend trip and all the awesome things they’ve got planned for their wedding!
