Let me start by saying – I absolutely adore this family. I love them to bits and pieces! Amy is my WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY partner and one of my favorite people in the world (yes, the entire world!!). She and her husband Chris have some of the most beautiful children on the planet – I was even there to capture the birth of their youngest baby, Claire! We did this shoot down at the Nature Center in Fountain, Colorado and I’m pretty sure it was the last “Fall” session of 2012, with the beautiful gold, orange and yellow autumn colors. The red balloon has special meaning to the O’Neal family; it’s a symbolic remembrance for their son, Austin, who is now with our Heavenly Father. I wasn’t lucky enough to meet Austin before he passed, but he was a very much beloved little boy, and I am so honored to have been asked to capture their family photos. The session turned more into a love session between Chris and Amy toward the end, which is awesome since Amy says they don’t have many … There were SO many to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down to the few peeks for the blog!
