Family Photos at Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine
This was my first time taking family photos at Wind Point Lighthouse and boy is it a gorgeous spot! I met up with Sean, Angie and their two beautiful girls Evie and Reese, as well as Angie’s parents, for an extended family session. We actually ended up splitting this session in half, doing the second half at Foxcreek Stables in Wauconda; the weather turned pretty awful at the first session, super windy and bitterly cold since we were right on Lake Michigan (gotta love that, right!?).
Our second time together we actually decided to shoot in the morning, which worked out so beautifully! I normally prefer to photograph families in the late afternoon to get that gorgeous golden sunset light, with the weather changing? I’m actually going to start offering morning sessions for families with young ones throughout the year, because it’s just too chilly/too late in the afternoon sometimes. And that’s totally okay!
