Family Session at Christ Church in St Simons Island
One of the beautiful parts about moving to a whole new location is getting to explore and visit new spots. When Tammy asked me to meet for her family session at Christ Church in St Simons Island just south of Brunswick, of course I was super excited because this spot is absolutely amazing for photos. The original church was built in 1820, and was burnt down by Union soldiers during the Civil War – which is the kind of stuff I love to explore.
It was also a perfect spot to hang out with the Ponder family because they all love history, too! In fact, they’re trying to visit all 50 of the states together.
We loved exploring around the church grounds, including the cemetery that has headstones that are well over 200 years old. And the kiddos? Absolutely amazing – I had the best time chasing them and playing games, letting them be kids and having the most incredible time. I love when parents just sit back and let kids be kids at sessions, because that’s when we’re able to get the absolute best photos. FOR SURE!
Anyway – here are just a few of my favorites from the Ponder’s family session at Christ Church in St Simons Island. I absolutely can’t wait to go back and explore some more, and take my kids and Randy to go check it out and hike around. Georgia is so full of all these incredible little spots for sessions and history lessons!
