Homemade Halloween Treat Bags

Our last football game of the season is this week on Saturday … which also happens to be Halloween. I love our little team of 16 boys and 4 amazing coaches, and it’s been so fun being team mom this season (can you believe it’s my first time ever doing it, in all the years Noah has played football?!).

We still have their awards banquet to do in a couple of weeks, but, I wanted to send the boys home from their last game with a little bag of treats. I am not a great artist but I tried my best to draw Halloween fun on each of them, too. 😂 I drew on pumpkins and Frankensteins, lightning bolts and stars, and even these truly terrible vampire spiders. Trust me, not quitting my day job to be a Halloween artist!

What I Used

I got the cute little brown kraft bags from Walmart (which are just like the ones I use for Color Street events) and some Painters Pens to draw their names and the characters. Then, I used double-ended Sharpies for the detailing, like Frankenstein’s face and the spider webs.

I put two pieces of black tissue paper inside of each of the bags, and then we filled the bags with candy. Katelyn and Sierra sorted the candy out so everyone got an equal number of everything, since God forbid anyone get an extra Snickers bar or something!

I am really excited to hand these homemade Halloween treat bags out tomorrow to our football team, and I hope that they love them as much as I loved making them!

And on the back of every player’s bag, I wrote a little love note of encouragement. Because hi, that’s what moms do. 🥰
