Kelly + Leo are absolutely, without a doubt, 100% soul mates. We got to hang out with them last week for their Joshua Tree destination engagement session while they were in town, preparing for their fall wedding out in La Quinta, and let us tell you: these two are amazing together.

They met while both living overseas, in Ibiza (Spain) and worked together for five years before deciding to go out on a date. Their first date was at a beautiful beach at the north of the island called Beniras, and they spent the whole day lounging, talking, eating and drinking wine, and enjoyed an amazing sunset together. Leo proposed last summer, while they are on a big family reunion camping trip in Oregon, at Crescent Lake. On the first day of their weeklong trip, he dropped down to one knee in front of Kelly’s entire family and proposed – it was a magical moment, and they got to celebrate with their family the rest of the week!

What we love most about these two – aside from their amazing personalities and total love and respect for each other, is that they are travelers at heart. The two of them have been adventuring through life together ever since that first fateful date to the beach together in Spain. While we were with them, they talked about all the beautiful places they’ve seen together – all over Europe and South America, plus the fact they live in Miami and that Kelly works in the Bahamas – it totally gave us some #travelgoals!

And now they are planning their destination wedding in La Quinta for the fall, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of this latest adventure with the two of them. We just know it’s going to be a beautiful representation of their love and lives together (especially since Cathy with Celebrations of Joy is planning it!)!
